Ruhuna Journal of Science is a peer-reviewed international open access online journal of multidisciplinary sciences. Two issues are published annually, in June and December.

Indexing: RJS is included in the Master Journal List of Web of Science, and indexed in Zoological Records. It is also listed in the World Catalog of Scientific Journals (WCOSJ). RJS has been registered as a contributor for The OAIster database, which uses Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH).

RJS is indexed in Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) (https://doaj.org/) and included in Sri Lanka Journals Online (SLJOL) (https://www.sljol.info/)

RJS accepts scholarly research articles and short communications across a broad spectrum of pure and applied sciences, and interdisciplinary sciences. The articles submitted to the RJS are checked for plagiarism, and will be desk-rejected if proved to be not up to the journal standard. The manuscripts are peer reviewed by experts in relevant areas (double-blind). In addition, the authors themselves may suggest two or three potential reviewers for their papers. The accepted manuscripts are assigned a DOI through the SLJOL registry.

No Article Processing fees (APC) or page fees are charged from the authors currently.
