| Ruhuna Journal of Science (RJS) published by the Faculty of Science, University of Ruhuna has been recognized by Web of Science (WoS), enlisting it in the Master Journal list, and indexed in ‘Zoological Records’ under WoS collection. The Journal is also included in the World Catalogue of Scientific Journals (WCOSJ). RJS commenced publishing its first Volume in 2006 as a printed multidisciplinary science journal with Prof. W.G.D. Dharmaratna as the Managing Editor and continued as an annual peer-reviewed journal until 2009. From 2014 onwards, RJS is published as an internationally recognized open access online journal with two issues published in June and December each year. Journal will reach its 11th annual Volume this year. Since 2017, RJS has been registered as a contributor for the Open Archives Initiative (OAI), included in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), and included in Sri Lanka Journals Online (SLJOL) having TWO-STAR rating by the Journal Publishing Practices and Standards (JPPS). Latest inclusion in the Web of Science and indexing in Zoological Records is a milestone in its history. |
