Ruhuna Journal of Science (RJS) welcome articles resulting from original research work covering many areas in Pure and Applied Sciences, Technology, and also covering scientific themes with interdisciplinary focus. Review articles are not invited currently.

Peer Review Process

RJS follows the double blind peer review policy where reviewing will be done at least by two experts in the relevant discpline of the manuscript. Authors may suggest in their letter of submission two or three potential reviewers in the relevant discipline. Reviewers' recommendation on the suitability of the manuscript will be considered for the decision making process. If recommended to accept subject to a major revision, a revised version will be invited from the authors under provisional acceptance. Once the revised version is received, a final decision on acceptance will be reached. Review process typically takes a minimum of two months. The authors can download the peer review reports from the system.

Publication Frequency

Journal will publish two issues per volume, in June and December.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Ruhuna Journal of Science is registered as a contributor to The OAIster® database.

The journal is licenced under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License. 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
